Description
This variety comes from Saudi Arabia, more precisely from Al Qassim, between Riyadh and Medina. A pure delight, these dates are neither dry nor too sweet. They are therefore ideal for tasting alone but can also be used in baking because they do not melt during cooking and go perfectly with shortcrust pastry.
Rutab means wet, this means that the date is picked mid-ripe, which gives it this texture and melting texture. This variety is the sweetest, the softest but also the richest in fiber. Just 5 to 7 of these dates are enough to cover 20% of the recommended daily fiber intake.
